2024 Spring/Summer Marketing Internship

K2 Growth Partners (K2GP), an emerging private equity firm with a strong foundation in the industry, is seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial Sales/Marketing Intern. This role is designed for individuals passionate about contributing to business development efforts, including sourcing new investments, selling advisory services, and promoting the company and its partners. With a focus on growing small to medium-sized businesses across the United States in various industries such as manufacturing, business services, distribution, and more, K2GP offers a dynamic environment for learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business development initiatives to source new investment opportunities and sell advisory services.
  • Assist in promoting K2GP and its partners to prospective clients and investors.
  • Participate in the execution of marketing strategies, including digital marketing efforts, content creation, and event planning.
  • Help maintain and update CRM databases to track engagement and outreach efforts.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the team on financial modeling and analysis to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Engage in various tasks associated with launching and growing a business, offering a holistic view of the private equity and startup ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Currently in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year as of Fall 2024.
  • Majoring in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or another related Business field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis, and keen interest in sales and marketing.
  • Previous internships or experience in sales, marketing, or a related field is advantageous, though not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a passion for learning about private equity and business development.

Position Details:

This is a part-time, flexible internship that can be performed remotely or in a hybrid setting, offering the intern valuable exposure to the private equity sector and hands-on experience in business development. There are possibilities for role expansion over time. Interns may also be eligible for course credit; interested students should consult with their academic advisor for more information.
